Never had the chance to play the original. This port is fantastic. Thoroughly enjoying myself. Bravo!!

Wonderful port. Would like to have seen auto-saving added since iOS gaming can be so much more sporadic than on consoles, and I wish you could play music or podcasts over the game audio without it cutting off with every screen change. Touch controls are good and responsive, and the interface for the battle menu is as good as can be expected. Great job overall. Now please, please port Lunar 2.

I played this game al out two decades ago the original then this the silver star story loved it very happy with the gameplay on iPad really took me back to my childhood only a few hours into game now but will probably finish by weeks end. Now I just need xenogears for iPad and life will be complete!

So I was playing the swamp level and it kept suspiciously crashing a lot more than usual. I had to beat 2 difficult bosses, one of them was by sheer luck and this is what I get? Dont get me wrong, the game is great. There is nothing wrong with gameplay. But I cant recommend something that will potentially ruin players experience. Until this gets fixed, Im gonna stick with FFIX.

Does this game allow use for a controller ?

I absolutely love this game I played it all the time when it came out on playstation. I just really hope they also bring over the second lunar game.

This is a great game. It requires a lot of patience though. Its difficult too. Enjoyable.

Im actually very glad the PlayStation was chosen as the source material since the PSP version was systematically flawed and the og Sega CD version is just too archaic, but why is the frame rate so poor? Its choppy at best compared to how smoothly it played on much weaker, much older hardware. Its so choppy I almost cant stand to play it.

Was good until recently, now crashes too much

Its a good port, my only complaint is that the virtual joystick in portrait mode seems less accurate than when in portrait.

This app crashes constantly on iOS 10... would be nice if I could actually play the game but my save files keep getting corrupt after a couple crashes. They say "save missing." I would give a 5 star rating but until this issue gets fixed it gets nothing...

I grew up playing the originals on the Sega CD and then the PlayStation remakes. When I saw this on the App Store, I got super excited and it was only $6.99! This version is most similar to the PlayStation version but the voices are different from the PlayStation and Sega CD versions. This was a bit of a bummer but by no means kills it for me. The only other downside is that the controls are a bit tricky but you get used to it. This app still gets 5 stars because I just love the game so much and this remake stays true to the game and didnt try to recreate the story or plot. Please port Lunar 2!! As a fan of the series since about 1994, please do this!

Played several versions of this game. Liked them all. Like many others have stated the touch screen commands are at best horrible. The good thing is, I still like the game and for being on a phone its helped passed time.

Well, quite possibly the greatest story ever told in an RPG and a final boss battle for the ages. Must own for any true hardcore RPG fan.

Grew up with Lunar as one of my all time favorite games and was happy as heck to see this get ported. Really stays true to the PlayStation/Sega CD version rather than GBA version thankfully. Only issue is that attacks that hit multiple enemies dont show which other enemies are hit.

The game constantly crashes, causing all progress youve made to be lost. The controls are manageable, and the slight variation from the PlayStation version (music, dialogue, even voices...Nall sounds like a boy going through puberty) is still good. I hope this can be resolved, I wont be playing it much if I know my progress could be lost before saving.

I love this game. Ever since I got it I havent been able to put the phone down. Waiting for eternal blue to come out.

I have played every iteration of this game since Sega CD, and while its not like the original, it is an incredible update. I highly recommend it. Also, please bring out the sequel!!
